St Agnes Road

Renovation and Extension of a Mid-20th century Semi-detached house situated in Crumlin Architectural Conservation Area. A significant upgrade of the existing fabric of the house was undertaken which included the installation of a new air-to-water heat pump and solar panels. The two-storey extension to the side and rear consists of a simple rendered master bedroom and bathroom at first floor sitting on a concrete canopy, punctured to let light through and supported by a two white brick walls, with one continuing into the interior space. The hit & miss brickwork and the geometric cut-outs in the thick concrete canopy create depth and shadow in the external space. The brickwork is complemented by timber joinery, hardwood timber windows and a polished concrete floor.
